Database SQL Developer
SUMMARY:
As a Database SQL developer with NASA SEWP, you will be a key member of our IT solutions team,
responsible for improving and ensuring the stability, reliability, and performance to meet the needs of
our organization. Your expertise in database SQL scripting, application integration, and technical best
practices will be crucial in ensuring successful project delivery and driving strategic transformational
change. You will collaborate with cross functional teams, analyze business requirements, and design
scalable and efficient solutions to optimize, resolve SQL performance issues and improve overall
efficiency.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop complex Oracle SQL and PL/SQL scripts, stored procedures, packages to support
application development
• Develop and maintain SQL to ensure the data quality and integrity in the database based on the
end user's requirements
• Analyze existing Oracle SQL queries for code change requirements and improving performance
• Review and interpret ongoing business report requirements that drive the technical solutions
• Propose and develop new methodologies and institute best practices
• Prepare documentation for database and application changes
• Completes project tasks within specified time frame
• Responsible for analyzing the data dictionary and database object relationships
• Must be able to fully document step by step process and findings
• Must be self-motivated and have the ability to offer solutions to complex business problems
• Must be able to think logically and analytically
• Provide Level II (technical) customer support via phone, e-mail and ServiceNow IT and customer
service ticketing system.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
• A Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline or 8+ years of relevant technical experience
• Required 4-6 years Oracle SQL development experience
• Experience with Oracle SQL & PL/SQL
• Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with creating stored procedure and packages,
functions, DML (Data Manipulation Language), and views
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of an integrated team
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
• US Citizen or permanent residency, with ability to obtain a clearance of Public Trust
• Must work On-site a minimum of three (3) days per week.
• Must possess strong written and oral communications skills
