Service Line Manager (SLM)
Halvik delivers services and solutions across Accounts through the Business Units involving the Digital Services Team. The SLM has primary ownership of one of these core competencies. The SLM applies resources to projects enhancing delivery success and to sales opportunities in support of Halvik's growth objectives. Service Line Managers responsibilities include:
- Mentor and develop subject matter experts in their respective service line, outlining standards and training based on the needs of the customers and to contribute to company growth objectives
- Support the optimal delivery of technical services on existing and new contracts by serving as an enabler for technical Service Lines:
- Help ensure contracts are staffed with the right technical resources by supporting the technical recruitment and screening process
- Provide technical governance and support delivery teams regarding best practices and toolsets
- Organize technical information exchanges and training such as lunch & learn sessions to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing
- Identify, populate, and keep current a centralized repository of IT best practices, lessons learned, and industry insights applicable to the Service Line. This includes identifying relevant sources of information across contracts, projects, and industry publications
- Best practices for relevant IT disciplines
- Lessons learned from past projects and implementations
- White papers on emerging technologies and methodologies
- Case studies demonstrating successful outcomes
- Applicable industry standards and frameworks, including customer-specific constructs, as relevant
- Establish a process for regular content updates and reviews to ensure information remains current and relevant
- Provide technical expertise to drive business growth in collaboration with Account, Business Unit, and Executive leadership.
- Serve as a technical lead across the business growth lifecycle, including business development, proposal, and capture activities:
- Lead, own, and contribute to prototypes, demonstrations, technical narratives, architectures, and solutions.
- Develop custom IT solutions and systems architecture in support of proposals and contracts.
- Lead technical solution development as needed during the capture phase, including supporting the creation of technical marketing materials
- Develop technical proposal responses emphasizing business value and competitive differentiation.
- Architect solutions considering market products and the balance of proven and emerging technologies to best meet client requirements.
- Evaluate solicitations (identified by the account leaders - RFIs & RFPs) to determine technical suitability.
- Develop an in-depth technical understanding of historic company capabilities and past performances.
- Lead efforts to Define and sustain Halvik's overall technical vision, direction, and strategy in alignment with our customers' business goals.
- Serve as a visionary, results-oriented technical executive, coupling technological innovation with both time-tested and emerging technologies and forward-thinking leadership to provide best-in-class solutions.
- Lead the strategy for technology platforms, partnerships, and external relationships.
- Assess and ensure compatibility and interoperability of new technologies with existing systems.
- Oversee the hiring, development, and management of technology staff.
- Manage technical consultant and vendor relationships
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for all technical communications.
- Ensure Halvik team has access to current, relevant, and valid information associated with emerging IT tools, technologies, and techniques to support growth objectives and the sustained delivery of IT services to our customers.
- Participate in and represent the corporation at IT technical conferences and forums as applicable.
