Role and Responsibilities

· Participate in the development and maintenance of automated testing solutions for a large

federal project.

· Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Developers, Infrastructure Specialists, Cloud

Architects, and Business Analysts to ensure testing alignment with project objectives.

· Engage directly with customers to develop test cases, user stories, and end-to-end test plans for

new and existing functionalities.

· Design, execute, and maintain automated and manual test cases to validate system

functionality, performance, and reliability throughout each sprint.

· Ensure automated tests are integrated into CI/CD pipelines and delivered alongside application

code in every sprint.

· Help the team achieve and maintain target code and test coverage across all environments.

· Identify, document, and track defects; collaborate with developers to ensure timely resolution.

· Contribute to continuous improvement of testing frameworks, standards, and best practices.

 

Required Skills:

· 5+ years of hands-on experience in Quality Assurance and automated testing within agile environments. · Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Postman, JUnit, or equivalent frameworks. Experience with Playwright REQUIRED. 

· Experience designing and executing test strategies for modernization, cloud migration, or large-scale transformation projects.

· Familiarity with DevSecOps principles and integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps).

· Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, including functional, regression, performance, and integration testing.

· Excellent analytical and documentation skills, with the ability to trace and communicate defects back to business and technical requirements.

· Proven collaboration skills working with development, operations, and government customer teams. · Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Preferred Skills:

· Experience with cloud-based environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).

· Familiarity with API testing, performance testing, and security testing tools.

· Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in sprint-based delivery cycles.

· Knowledge of federal IT systems and compliance requirements (e.g., FedRAMP, FISMA).

· Experience using test management tools such as JIRA, Zephyr.

· Basic understanding of programming/scripting languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript for test automation development.
